Family Registration
If you would like your children to participate in the Kids gathering on Sundays, please fill out a Family Registration form (currently via Google Forms) or register your children directly at the Check-Ins station on Sunday.
Sunday Morning Check-In
We will have a family check ins table on the lobby level of the church building (walk in through the doors and look to the right). This is where you can 1) register a new family or family member, 2) update your current information, and/or 3) check your children in for Kids Church. The check ins table will be open from 9:30am to about 10:30am, or whenever kids are dismissed.
Dropping children off (Nursery - 5th Grade):
- Kids Church check in begins after the worship portion of the gathering ends.
- Once children are dismissed, please make sure they are checked in and have the electronically printed name tags.
- Make your way downstairs to the ENCS Kids Church area via the stairwell to the right of the main entrance.
- Upon arriving at the bottom of the stairs, drop your children off in the large open area. We will have a group huddle before we break into our classrooms.
- You can pick your children up in this same location immediately after the worship gathering ends, starting with the youngest to oldest.
Dropping children off (Middle School):
- Middle School meets in the Lounge room, located directly across the lobby off the main entrance after the worship portion of the gathering ends. There will be an announcement made letting parents know to drop their children off.
- Check your child in with the Middle School mentor. There will be 1 middle school parent assigned to check in with the middle school students each Sunday.
Picking children up after the gathering:
- As soon as the gathering has concluded, bring your parent tag downstairs to the Kids Church area to pick up your children. If you wish to socialize after the gathering, make sure one parent or guardian is picking up immediately after.
- Parents or guardians will need to show their parent tag to the Teacher before he/she can release your children back to you. If you have kids in multiple classes, start by picking up your youngest child.
- Meet your middle schooler in the Lounge.
Hygiene Practices
Basic infection prevention measures are implemented at the building at all times. Children and adults should wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently throughout their time in the building. Hand-sanitizer dispensers (that use sanitizers of greater than 60% alcohol) are at entrances and multiple locations in the building to be used for hand hygiene in place of soap and water, as long as hands are not visibly soiled.
Children and adults should clean their hands in the following occasions:

Bathroom & Diaper Policy
For the safety of our children and accountability for all, we ask parents to be the ones to take their children to the bathroom and change diapers. Please take your children to use the bathroom before check in. In the event that they need to use the bathroom during the gathering, we will text message the parent contact information we have on the printed name tag.
We ask that parents change their child’s diaper. We will text you to the Nursery if your child’s diaper leaks or if he/she has a poopy diaper. We have some emergency diapers and wipes on hand, but please bring your own to use.

Adult : Children Ratio (Nursery only)
For the sake of teachers and the wellness of your child, we will maintain the child : adult ratio in the nursery as 1 Adult : 3 Children. We will always have 2 teachers assigned to the Nursery, with the hope of consistently having 3 teachers each week. In the event that we hit our ratio, we may ask you to keep your child with you. If you are a parent of a nursery child, we can permit you to stay with us as long as we don’t exceed the room limit of 12 people.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I prepare my child for the ENCS Kids Church gathering?
We suggest having an intentional conversation about why it matters to come together in community to worship God on Sundays. You can also discuss what Sundays will look like, how they are to obey their teachers, and be open to friendship with other children of all ages. Take a moment to pray together so their hearts can be prepared to hear from the Lord.

- NURSERY: Children ages 6 months (if they can sit on their own) up to 2.5-3 years old. We assess the child’s level of comfort and ability to be with older children before we move them up to Preschool class, on a case by case basis.
- PRESCHOOL: Children ages 3 to 5 years old. This class consists of children who are aging out of the Nursery setting, but not yet able to read or write on their own. We will assess their ability to be a part of the elementary class when they are approaching or are 6 years old, on a case by case basis.
- ELEMENTARY: Children ages 6 to 11 years old. This class consists of children who are able to read and write, from K/1 to 5th grade. Once a child enters 6th grade, we will move them up to the Middle School group.
- MIDDLE SCHOOL: Children in grades 6-8. This group is currently student led (by a high schooler) and supervised by a rotating group of Middle School parents.

Currently, we have enough teachers/leaders to have 4 different age groups.
- Nursery children will have plenty of playtime, spend some time learning a memory verse with motions, hear the Bible story of the week and color a sheet that goes along with it, and get prayed for.
- In the Preschool (ages 3-5) and Elementary (6-11years old) classes, we will start off with a large group time where we share announcements and introduce the memory verse or theme of the week. Then, the children will break off into their classes and do Bible studies and activities that go with the week’s lesson. Every 2-3 months, we focus on a quarterly theme based on 4 Habits of being a disciple of Christ, which further breaks down into monthly themes and weekly lessons. Every few months, we will host a community event or party in lieu of the lesson (ex: Easter celebration or Advent party).
- Middle school students meet to SOAP (bible study method) the passage that is being taught in the adult congregation and then break out into game and fellowship time to build friendship and pray for each other. Middle school gathers the 1st-3rd Sunday and on the 4th Sunday, they break out to serve in different ministries.
