Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
(Matthew 28:19-20)

CURRENT SERMON STUDY

Joy in Community

We're continuing in our study of JOY by exploring Joy in Community! Too often our gladness or joy is separated from our connection with one another and tied to solo efforts of seeking joy in individualistic pursuits. We even live our faith independently -- not linked with deep connection to other members of the body of Christ. Yet the Scriptures show us that Joy is Relational. What would happen if the Christian Church, expressed and experienced the joy of the Lord through true community: enjoying one another, loving one another, and serving one another with our gifts. In this study of Romans 12, we will explore how Paul envisioned the churches in Rome to be a community of joy that would eventually turn an empire upside down. Perhaps we too can become a community of deepening joy that the world wants in on.
