Original Design Prayer Tips

  • Original Design prayer should ideally be offered by a team of 2-3 people. We suggest you write down everything first and then share what you heard. 
  • NOTE: Record each person’s Original Design on their phone, or yours. 

ORIGINAL DESIGN 
1. Pray and ask God how He uniquely made ___(person)___. 

“Lord, Psalm 139 says that your thoughts toward ___(person)___ are more than the sands on the seashore. Would you show us some of Your thoughts toward ___(person)___ and how You uniquely made him/her.”

2. Listen to God for images, words, verses. You can write these down on your notepad.

3. Ask God the meaning of what you are seeing/ sensing...what is it saying about this person?

4. What word or description sums up, or condenses, this image so that we can say to them, "I believe God designed you to be __________." 

CORE DECEPTION + TRUTH
5. After each person shares and it feels like the “Design” part is completed, you can ask about “Core Deceptions” and the Truth that replaces them.

“Lord, thank You for how you made ___(person)___. Show us what core deceptions the enemy is using to come against Your design in ___(person's)___ life, and show us Your truth for them to stand on.”

6. Wait, listen, & ask God for insight and meaning of what He shows you. Share this with the person. (To not overwhelm them, each person should aim to receive only one core deception to share).

WRAPPING UP 
7. Pray a blessing over the person.

8. When you are through praying for every person, you can ask, “Did any of that resonate with you?”
