Room Use Expectations

When you arrive you must:

  • Use August Lock to enter the Hub.
  • Ensure the front door is fully closed and locked after you enter into the building.
  • If you are the first one in the Hub, you may need to disable the security alarm. The key pad is located next to the main doors and the code is 6108.

When you use the coffee bar, be sure to:

  • Wipe down the table and clean any crumbs or spills.
  • If you use the spatula, please clean it afterwards.
  • If you use the toaster oven, please line the tray with foil or clean the tray after use. Be sure to throw the foil away after you’re done.

When you use the wood tables, be sure to:

  • Use a coaster for cups.
  • Do not put hot items directly on the table. Please use an extra plate, bowl, or a coaster. This will help protect the wood from heat damage.

When you leave the room make sure everything is the way you found it. You must:

  • Return any items to their original location. This includes chairs, tables, or other furniture.
  • Remove or dispose of any items you brought with you. (supplies, trash, etc.)
  • If your event has food or the garbage can is full, we ask that you please take out the trash. We are located in a city, so we coexist with rats. Please don’t encourage them to come inside our Hub by leaving your trash overnight.
    • Extra trash bags are in the storage part of the men's restrooms.
    • The dumpster is on the top level of the Trader Joe's parking lot.
    • The keys for the dumpster are on the two-tiered metal shelf in the storage section of the men's restroom. Please return them once you are done.
    • See this video for the exact location. bit.ly/encs-garbage
  • Please vacuum if needed. Vacuum is located in the storage part of the men’s restroom.
  • Clean and sanitize tables. Disinfectant wipes are available by the coffee & hot water.
  • Check for any damage to the room, furniture, and equipment. Report any damages to our Operations Director (office@everynationseattle.org).
  • Turn off any electronic equipment.
  • Turn off any lights you turned on.
  • Check the side door is locked and secured.
  • If you are the last one to leave, press the AWAY button on the keypad when you're ready to exit. This will initiate a countdown so be sure to exit right away.
  • Make sure the exterior doors are securely shut behind you. Use the August lock app to lock the double doors behind you.
