PARTNER WITH BELLA
Hello, my name is Bella Haeusel. I am the daughter of Matthias who is the lead pastor of Cross+Crown Church where I’ve worked for the last four years, doing life with college students and working as the communications director.
As a disciple of Jesus, I have a deep desire to see others come under His Lordship and the next step on that path is flying 6,777 miles to Jerusalem to begin work on my Masters degree in Biblical History and Geography.
The inciting incident of my applying to this program came in the midst of a conversation with Danielle last July when we were chatting about her own Masters program and a partner school with Western which was Jerusalem University College. I left our meeting, read their entire website and was immediately captivated by the possibility of living in the Land of the Bible.
I had looked at programs since my senior year of college in 2018, knowing that I wanted to pursue graduate studies not just for another piece of paper, but because of the value I have for the Scriptures and my desire to share them in their fullness to the best of my ability. In other words, I want to preach the Kingdom and teach the Word for the rest of my life. And while I’m not quite sure where He’ll position me in two to three years, I’d love to continue doing life with college students (and post grads) whether in my home, in partnership with a local church or as a professor (I’d love to receive my PhD so as to be a full-time professor or just a very qualified human in ministry).
In the midst of this new adventure I’d love partners. Those who would pray for me, check in on me, and to back me financially. This is a project that requires investment and it’s one that tends to be more challenging to get help for, which is why I’m incredibly grateful for the invitation to come and invite you all to partner with me.
As a first step, if you’re interested in keeping tabs on me I’ll be sending out a semi-regular email and would love to have y’all sign up to receive that.
